CMDCM Veronica Tutt

CMDCM Tutt enlisted in the Navy and over her 34 year career was stationed in NTTC Orlando, FL; NTTC San Diego, CA; NROTC, Marquette University; Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center, Atlanta, GA; Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center, Brooklyn, NY; Navy Reserve Center, Wilmington, NC; Naval Reserve Force, New Orleans, LA; Inshore Undersea Warfare Group One, San Diego, CA; Navy Reserve Readiness Command Region 19, San Diego CA; USS John F. Kennedy, Mayport, FL; Armed Forces Reserve Center, Jacksonville, FL; and Naval Reserve Personnel Center, New Orleans, LA.

 

During her career she obtained a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Chapman University. She is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, El Paso, TX, Class 41, and the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Newport, RI, Class 81. Master Chief Tutt was the first African American female selected as a Master Chief in the Full Time Support Program in 1995. Her final tour of duty was the Naval Reserve Readiness Command Southeast, Jacksonville, FL as the Command Master Chief. She retired from the United States Navy in 2006.

 

Her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corp Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various sea and campaign service awards. Ms. Tutt is on several nonprofit boards. She is an active volunteer with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, where she serves as the Area Four Chair; Northeast Florida Women Veterans Association; Northeast Florida Aids Network; and the Association of the United States Navy. She is also a Lifetime Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
