
Anthony Wallis
Mr. Wallis attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in Minneapolis, receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, United States History and a minor in Spanish Studies. Upon his graduation in May 2005, Anthony immediately received a Staff Assistant position with his hometown Congressman, U.S. Representative F. James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin. In August of 2005, Mr. Wallis was hired by the Historian of the U.S. House of Representative, Dr. Robert V. Remini, as a Research Analyst, in the Office of the House Historian until December 2010. In the summer of 2010, Mr. Wallis received his Master’s degree from U.S. Naval War College in Newport, RI.
In December 2010, and starting in January 2011, Mr. Wallis accepted a position as Air National Guard Legislative Assistant at the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS), where he served for over a year learning about military personnel and Veteran benefits as well as the equipment challenges of the Air National Guard (ANG). In February of 2012, Mr. Wallis left NGAUS to fulfill his wish to help the Navy by accepting the position as Director of Legislation for the Association of the United States Navy (AUSN).
While at AUSN, Mr. Wallis successfully increased funds in the National Guard and Reserve Equipment Account (NGREA) for the Navy Reserve, helped save the procurement plan of two Virginia Class (SSN) submarines in the Fiscal Year 2013 (FY13) Appropriations bill, and wrote and provided testimony before the various Armed Services, Appropriations and Veterans’ Affairs Committees of the House and Senate, advocating for the needs of our Navy, Navy Reserve, Sailors and Veterans during tough fiscal times. In August of 2014, after over two years at AUSN, Mr. Wallis took the next step in his career and accepted a position as a National Security and Risk Consultant at American Bureau of Shipping Group (ABSG) Consulting. Mr. Wallis is currently working on his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
