PR1 (AW/SW) Amy E. Davis, USN
Petty Officer Davis was born
in Lowell, MA. Upon graduation
from Dracut High School
in June of 1994, she enlisted in
the United States Navy and
completed Recruit Training in
Orlando, FL. After Recruit
Training, she reported to
NATTC Millington, TN, for Air
Traffic Controller “A” School
and subsequently was assigned
to Naval Air Station Sigonella,
Sicily, in January 1995.
Her career ambitions changed and she reported to
Aircrew Survival Equipmentman, PR “A” school, Pensacola,
FL, in July 1999.
In November 1999, she reported to USS KITTY
HAWK (CV 63), forward deployed in Yokosuka, Japan.
There she was advanced to Second Class Petty Officer.
In January 2002, she reported to Naval Recruiting
District New England Boston, MA. She qualified as a
Recruiter-in-Charge, and was then advanced to First
Class Petty Officer.
In June 2005, she reported to Strike-Fighter
Squadron ONE ZERO SIX and was assigned as the
Paraloft LPO. In April 2008, she reported to Strike-
Fighter Squadron EIGHT SEVEN, deploying onboard
USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71) in support of
OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM.
Her decorations include a Navy Commendation
Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (four awards),
Good Conduct Medal (four awards), numerous unit
commendations, campaign medals and service
ribbons.
PR1 Davis is married to PRC(AW/SW/FPJ) David B.
Davis, currently stationed at FRC Norfolk, VA. They
reside in Virginia Beach, VA, with their two daughters,
Jordan and MacKenzie and son, Tristan.
HM1 (FMF/SW/AW) Andrew J. Jenkins, USN
Petty Officer Jenkins was
born in Wayne County, MI, on
16 June 1984. He graduated
from Newaygo County High
School in May of 2002.
After graduation, he proudly
worked alongside his father,
Jerry Jenkins, a plumbing
veteran of 30 years. In 2004,
he enlisted in the United
States Navy and reported to
RTC Great Lakes, IL. Upon
completion of Recruit
Training, he was selected as Honor Recruit, division
920. He remained in Great Lakes for Seamen ATD
School where he was meritoriously promoted to SN
for his outstanding performance. His first set of military
orders sent him to the USS NASSAU (LHA 4), homeported
in Norfolk, VA. After working as a deck seaman
for 18 months, he was sent to HM “A” School. In March
of 2007, he graduated from “A” school having broken
the standing record for completing the Navy Corpsman
curriculum in 28 days and graduated with distinction as
the 3rd highest GPA of 82 students. He then went to the
dental strand program and became qualified as a Navy
Dental technician. On 1 April 2007, he reported
onboard Branch Medical Clinic, Naval Air Station
Brunswick, ME, for duty. He worked as a dental tech
until he was frocked to HM3 and became the dental
department LPO. He then volunteered for IA duty and
was deployed to EMF Kuwait for six months. Upon
returning from deployment, he was promoted to HM2
in December 2008. He was selected as LPO for both
Dental and Education/Training departments, while
simultaneously serving as program director and lead
instructor for the EMT program at the air station.
Petty Officer Jenkins selected orders in February
2009 and reported to Field Medical Training Battalion
in Camp Pendleton, CA, in March 2009 where he was
selected as Company Gunnery Sergeant. HM2 Jenkins
reported to 1st Battalion, 3d Marines in Kaneohe Bay,
HI, on 21 May 2009. He deployed to Afghanistan for
Operation Enduring Freedom in November 2009. He
was frocked to HM1 on 15 December 2009. On return
from deployment, he was selected as the Battalion LPO.
Petty Officer Jenkins is single and has no children.

AWF1 (NAC/AW) James L. Henson, USN
Petty Officer James L.
Henson is a native of Tampa,
FL. After graduating high
school, he enlisted in the U.S.
Navy in December 1995. He
completed Recruit Training
at RTC Great Lakes, IL, in
February 1996. Upon
completion of Basic Recruit
Training, he reported to
Aviation Maintenance
Administrationman “A”
School in Meridian, MS, and
graduated number one in his class in May 1996 and was
meritoriously advanced to Third Class Petty Officer
through the Accelerated Advancement Program.
Petty Officer Henson reported to Pacific Missile
Range Facility (PMRF), Barking Sands, HI, in May 1996.
During his tour, he was advanced to Second Class Petty
Officer and was selected as the 1997 Junior Sailor of
the Year. He completed this tour in February of 2000.
In February 2000, he reported to Electronic
Attack Squadron 140 (VAQ-140), in Whidbey Island,
WA, completing sea deployments onboard USS DWIGHT
D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) and USS JOHN F. KENNEDY
(CV 67).
In March 2002, he reported to Aircraft Intermediate
Maintenance Department (AIMD) Mayport, FL. During
this tour, he was advanced to First Class Petty Officer
and served as Production Control Leading Petty Officer.
In March of 2005, he left active duty and transferred
to VR-58 as a Selected Reservist to start his own private
business.
His decorations include Navy and Marine Corps
Achievement Medal (five awards), Meritorious Unit
Commendation (three awards), Navy “E” Ribbon,
Good Conduct Medal (three awards), Navy Reserve
Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), National
Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary
Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary/Service
Medals.
Petty Officer Henson is married to the former Jeniece
Carter of Coco Beach, FL. His wife resides in Tampa, FL,
with their three children, Marissa, Megan and Avery.
Petty Officer Henson and his family commute on their
days off while he is currently mobilized with VR 58.
CE1 (SCW) Leonardo D. Calderon, USN
Petty Officer Calderon was
born on 5 June 1981, in
Guadalajara, Mexico. He
graduated from Eagle Rock
High School in 1999 and
enlisted in the Navy March
of 2000. Completed boot
camp in Chicago, IL, then
moved on to Construction
Electrician “A” School in
Wichita Falls, TX.
Petty Officer Calderon’s
first duty assignment was
with Construction Battalion Unit FOUR ZERO SIX,
stationed onboard Naval Air Station Lemoore, where
he was promoted to Third Class Petty Officer.
In 2002, Petty Officer Calderon transferred to
Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FOUR, Port
Hueneme, CA. Deployed to Iraq in support of Operation
Iraqi Freedom as a member of Task Force MIKE that
went on to Baghdad as a security detachment to launch
bridges and support humanitarian missions.
On his last deployment, he assisted in the construction
of two schools in the Philippines. Immediately returning
from deployment, he attended Journeyman Instructor
Training and quickly certified to instruct various small
arms qualified as a Master Training Specialist.
In 2007, Petty Officer Calderon received orders to
THIRTY-FIRST Seabee Readiness Group, Port Hueneme,
CA. He was temporarily assigned to Naval Construction
Training Center, Port Hueneme, CA, and was one of five
instructors selected Naval Construction Force-wide to
instruct Construction Electrician “A” School where he
was advanced to First Class Petty Officer. Since arriving
at the THIRTY-FIRST Seabee Readiness Group, he has
completed his Master Training Mentor Qualification and
achieved a Bachelor’s degree from the University of La
Verne.
Petty Officer Calderon’s personal decorations
include: Navy Commendation Medal (two awards),
Navy Achievement Medal (four Awards), Combat
Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Battle
efficiency Ribbon (two Awards), Good Conduct Medal
(three Awards), National Defense Medal, Iraqi
Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism
Expeditionary and Service Medals, Sea Service
Deployment Ribbon (three awards). He is a Seabee
Combat Warfare Specialist.
CE1 Calderon is married to Jamiah Calderon of
Memphis, TN, and has one child, Jacob.

at a ceremony conducted by the Chief of Naval
Operations and presented the Navy Commendation
Medal.
