There is a lot going on in Washington as always, but this month, I’m making room for our Chairman to talk to you about our Board meeting. This was a big step for AUSN and I was pleased to be a part of it. Our focus this issue is on Navy Surface Warfare and we are pleased that VADM Kevin McCoy is our guest columnist. We have outlined for you some of themajor ship building initiatives under- way, pp 16. We are bringing you a short piece on a unique part of NAVSEA here in Washington – The David Taylor Ship Model Basin where Navy engineers design and test hull forms from small boats to super carriers. Our Senior Enlisted Voice this month is Fleet Master Chief, John Minyard from PACFLT. Find FLT Minyard on page 12. As always, enjoy the read.
