Shinseki’s effort to break the back of the backlog, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is reducing the paperwork and expediting the process for Veterans seeking compensation for disabilities related to their military service.

This year’s Current Strategy Forum at the Naval War College was held on the 8^th and 9^th of June and the theme was The Global System in Transition. A number of AUSN members were in attendance and the Association hosted a reception the night before on the outdoor deck of the Officers Club. It is safe to say that our members were not disappointed by the CSF Program. The kickoff keynote speaker was our CNO, ADM Gary Roughead. Although “on the record speeches” tend to stay within certain boundaries it is useful to hear the message nonetheless.
