Why You Should Be a Member of the Association of the United States NavyMinimize
  • The Association of the United States Navy is THE association of the Navy. If you currently serve, have served, or know someone in the Navy you belong here.
  • CNO Clark spoke of Quality of Service. When you support the Association, you support reservists – the reservists who support you. Part of being a leader is committing to a professional leadership role. Your professional Association is a part of that commitment.
  • Of the myriad of associations dedicated to serving members of the Navy, only AUSN encompasses the entire Navy.
  • The most effective military lobbying organization in town is The Military Coalition (37 member associations). AUSN co-chairs TMC’s all important Guard and Reserve Committee. We, therefore, have “throw weight” greater than our numbers.
  • Your Association is respected and listened to by important groups like the Senate Armed Services Committee staff.
  • Your staff has the answers today on Tri-Care, Retirement questions, Promotions, and much more.
  • You get prior notification of “in zone” and promotion notification as soon as the message is out via e-mail.
  • We hold professional development seminars and perform record reviews that have helped countless shipmates get promoted.
  • The straight skinny on the APPLY Board comes from your VP- Professional Development.
  • We are cyber capable! You have a member’s only web site with access to critical professional information. Personal help is as close as your keyboard! (The phone works too: 866 672-4968.)
