AUSN Participates in Teleconference with OSD-RA on proposed - TRICARE Prime Fee Increases

• OSD-HA, DoD, and OMB have proposed increasing TRICARE Prime Fees (for those retirees under 65)

• A $5 per family, and $2.50 per individual for FY 2012

• The Attached Point Paper – describes DoD, OMB’s position on Indexing the Future Year increase to National Health Care Expenditures – around 4.5%

• Currently, AUSN supports only indexing any increase to the COLA for retirees, and also supports removing the authority for future increases from OSD, OMB and putting responsibility back to Congress for any fee increases.
