AUSN's RADM Casey Coane, Executive Director, and Ike Puzon, Director of Government Affairs attended the quarterly briefing by TRICARE Management Agency (TMA) Deputy Director RADM Christine Hunter 7 OCT 2010, on program updates.
TRICARE Retired Reserve (TRR) was discussed along with many updates and issues. TMA recognized the problems and issues surrounding sign up by Retired Reserve for the TRR program. At this time a retired reserve must do an in-person proofing, since they do not have access through CAC cards, or DFLogon per the TMA website directions to get access to the program at one of the VA Regional Offices. TMA recognizes the difficulty with this process and is supposed to be working on a fix.
