Retroactive reserve retirement credit, regarding (P.L. 110-181), is AUSN’s top Reserve Component legislative priority this year. At a hearing earlier this year before the House Military Personnel Subcommittee, each of the Chiefs of the Guard and Reserve components emphasized the need to upgrade the reserve retirement system in the interest of force retention and readiness. We strongly agree and believe the next step is passage of the Senate retroactive reserve retirement provision. AUSN is writing to express our strong support to Section 660, S 1390, and the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010.
