As representatives of the Alliance for Military and Overseas Voting Rights (AMOVR), please allow us to take this opportunity to praise the Committee for addressing the important issue of overseas voting in the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act (S1415). Chairman Schumer and the cosponsors of the legislation -- Senators Cantwell, Chambliss, Isakson, Nelson and Shaheen – should be commended for their efforts on behalf of the men and women who protect and represent our country abroad. The Alliance strongly supports passage of this legislation.
